Embracing Change for A Sustainable Tomorrow

The transition to a more sustainable business is a continuous journey for NuvaLaser. Our journey aims to provide a positive impact on the environment, our people, our clients, our suppliers, and the communities we operate in.

Sustainability

Governance

Well-defined governance structures and processes that promote transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct are of high importance to our business. NuvaLaser prioritizes governance and financial stability in all aspects of its operations.

Recently, we received a 4-star gold ICIRT rating from Equifax, an independent body undertaking the rating for the NSW building commissioner. This tool provides our clients and their financiers with confidence in a reliable outcome with a low level of risk, tailored to the specific context of laser marking machines and related services.

Financial Stability

The inherent risks associated with the laser marking machines industry are why we have always placed so much attention on governance and economic stability.

NuvaLaser has been in operation for over 30 years. Our approach to growth has always been considered and careful. We are selective with our choice of partners and the projects and sectors we operate in.

We are financially disciplined and operate in an open, transparent, and ethical manner with our clients. We are passionate about delivering quality laser marking solutions for our clients on time and within budget.

Economic Stability

Our approach to Design and Project Management ensures we achieve the best possible outcome for our clients. Our ethos is to always provide the greatest value and service for our clients in terms of revenue, project costs, and risks.

Our approach to risk management is comprehensive and structured, including identifying all potential risks, assessing these risks through our supply chains, prioritizing the risks, risk mitigation, risk monitoring, contingency planning, and stakeholder management.

Social Sustainability

NuvaLaser promotes a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace. Although there is always room for improvement, we currently have 60% women in middle management in our business. We continue to focus our attention on recruiting more women into the laser industry and have made good progress in a number of areas, e.g., Contract Administrators (CAs).

NuvaLaser has also begun meaningful consultation and collaboration with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders. This will continue to develop and grow in future years.

Environmental Sustainability

This works hand in hand with our fully Integrated Management Systems, including our Environmental Management System ISO 14001:2015 program.

NuvaLaser has also aligned itself with leading industry practices tailored to the laser marking industry. We continue to commit to professional training of key staff in sustainable practices. Our most recent sustainability project experience includes innovative laser marking applications that minimize environmental impact.

We continue to explore opportunities to incorporate sustainable products and practices into our operations, including the use of low-carbon products where possible for our clients. Other initiatives include recycle management programs.
